EUGENE, Ore.–The Lane Community College Board of Education invites applications for the Bond Oversight Committee. The committee will be charged with reviewing progress on the projects detailed in LCC Bond Measure 20-306, approved by voters in the May 2020 election, and will monitor bond spending and schedules.
“I want to again thank the community for voting yes on the bond and supporting the college,” said Lisa Fragala, Board of Education chair. “Broad community input on LCC’s bond project will help the college deliver what the community needs. I strongly encourage anyone interested to consider joining our Bond Oversight Committee. Information is available on LCC’s website atlanecc.edu.”
The committee will be composed of not more than 11 appointed members including:
- Three to five members representing LCC district residents at-large
- Three members representing district-based construction and /or business
- Two members representing LCC employees, including one faculty and one classified staff
- One member representing LCC students
Applications opened July 1 and close August 31. Interviews for at-large and construction-business representatives will be held in September, and interviews for faculty, classified and student representatives will be held in October. The board will confirm membership by November and the committee will begin meeting in January 2021.
