Renaissance Room

The Renaissance Room is Lane's on-campus, student-operated restaurant.

The Renaissance Room

The Renaissance Room is an American Bistro-style restaurant featuring contemporary and classic cuisine from around the country in a modern setting.

We are currently closed until April 2025.

We open our restaurant lab to the public for lunch in the Spring term, offering the finest and freshest Pacific Northwest and US regional delicacies. Fall and Winter term are dedicated to student proficiency development, with a fast-paced delivery and practice format. Students are mentored with a highly effective building block approach to learning and application in a technical professional field that has a strong demand for qualified employees.

Our goal is to source foods locally when the curriculum-driven menu items make that possible. Student servers work alongside employees and mentors to provide friendly courteous service in a real-time setting. All of the dishes are prepared in the student operated kitchen, visible from the dining room and outside the restaurant.

The Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Programs at Lane Community College are offering one-year Certificate programs that match the food service industry's current dynamics.

This classroom lab was developed for culinary students to practice, refine and showcase their industry skills. Throughout the academic year we develop their abilities preparing a range of dishes, building our culinary skills and expanding our range of understanding in the field, leading to this capstone restaurant class.

Reservations

We hope you can join us when we open again in spring term 2025, when we will be seating for luncheon 11:30am-12:30pm Tuesdays-Fridays mid-April to late May. Our seating is limited so we recommend reservations, but we do sometimes accommodate walk-in guests if there is space available and the chef instructor allows it. We will begin taking reservations on March 3rd, 2025 -- email us at renroom@lanecc.edu.

  • Luncheon is a prix fixe 3-course meal with a choice of appetizer, choice of entrée and a dessert sampler. Drinks other than water cost extra.
  • The menu is determined by our chef instructors each week; we do not know future week's menus.
  • We accept all major credit cards.
  • We ask that parties limit their size to 8 people or fewer and be prepared to pay one check per table.
  • Gratuities are welcome and are used to enrich the student experience, and to further their scope of technical skills and knowledge.

For all inquiries, email renroom@lanecc.edu.

We look forward to seeing you in our class!

Sincerely,
The Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Faculty and Staff

About Us

The Renaissance Room offers valuable restaurant experience for culinary students in a real-time laboratory setting. The Spring term is a focused area of restaurant operations in a real time setting, with table service as an element.

The Renaissance Room menu changes regularly to feature the current focus of study. We offer local, seasonal, and sustainable cuisine whenever possible. We have chosen to continue the format of a prix fixe for our 3 course meal featuring your choice of soup or salad, a variety of entrees, and dessert.

Our seating is limited - we recommend reservations, but we are often able to accommodate walk-in guests if there is space available.
