The 2020 bond project, aimed at upgrading athletic facilities, has shown significant progress and is nearing completion. The installation of new synthetic turf, a key component of the project, is substantially complete, marking a major milestone. Additionally, the track resurfacing aspect was successfully completed in the summer of 2020, allowing the track facility to be used as a practice location for various national teams during the 2022 World Athletic Championships in Eugene. The turf replacement for both the soccer field and the track infield is currently in the final phase of project close-out, with the final costs expected to come in under the initially allocated budget. The one athletic field remaining with a deferred maintenance need is baseball. Estimate for reviving the baseball field is $2.8M.
