Self Care

Sometimes you don’t need an appointment with a health care provider, but still need a little help to get you through the rest of your school day. The Health Clinic is here for you! We have a self care station in our lobby that has free supplies. No appointment needed; just help yourself!

Supplies we offer include:

  • Band-Aids
  • Cough drops
  • Ibuprofen
  • Claritin (allergy medication)
  • Safer sex supplies
  • Menstrual care products
  • Toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss

We also have free at-home COVID-19 tests and Emergency Contraception (Plan B), available at the front desk. Just come on in and ask.

Ask a Nurse

Do you have general questions about your health? Unsure if you need an appointment? You can talk to a RN or Nurse Practitioner (FNP) about any of your health questions. Call the clinic and ask to speak to a nurse or email askanurse@lanecc.edu and a nurse will get back to you as soon as possible.

Self Care Resources

While the internet offers many resources for both professionals and patients, clinical decisions should not be based on information found online. If you do choose to use online resources to help guide you, it is important that the sites be reliable with up to date, evidence-based information. Below are a few recommended sites for information.

Please contact the Health Clinic if you have a medical question and/or wish to make an appointment.

Community Resources

The local community offers many resources for assistance with food, housing, health care, child care, legal services and much more.

Check out Lane’s Community Advocacy and Resource Education (CARE)’s page for more information.
