Michelle brings over three decades of invaluable experience to the program. A proud graduate of Lane's Dental Hygiene Class of 1993, Michelle began her career in general dentistry and periodontics, where her passion for patient care naturally evolved into a dedication to education. Michelle's teaching journey began as a continuing education and part-time clinical instructor, transitioning into a full-time role in 1999 and then a position of first-year clinical lead in 2004. Driven by a commitment to lifelong learning, she advanced her education by earning a bachelor's degree from Oregon Institute of Technology 2002, and later the completion of  a Master of Education from Northwest Christian College. Today, as Program Coordinator, Michelle is deeply committed to fostering the success of the Dental Hygiene Program and mentoring future Dental Hygienists devoted to serving their communities with excellence and compassion. Outside her professional pursuits, Michelle enjoys gardening, exploring genealogy, traveling, and spending time with her husband of 35 years, their two adult daughters, and of course, loving on her favorite feline.

Jeanette Perez-Vogt

Jeanette was born and raised in Peru, where her passion for dentistry began. She pursued her education at San Martin de Porres University in Lima, earning both a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Bachelor’s in Dentistry in 1999. The following year, Jeanette embarked on a transformative journey, leaving Peru to settle in Eugene, Oregon. There, she continued her academic pursuits at Lane Community College, graduating in 2012 with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. With experience in both public and private dentistry, Jeanette found her true calling in education. Since transitioning to academia in 2019, she has dedicated herself to mentoring future dental professionals at Lane Community College, inspiring students with her expertise and passion for the field. Outside the classroom and clinic, Jeanette finds joy in playing volleyball and enthusiastically cheering for her daughter from the sidelines of the soccer field. She also remains deeply connected to her roots, frequently returning to her hometown in Peru to provide preventive oral health care to her community. Jeanette’s journey reflects a profound commitment to service, education, and inspiring others, leaving a lasting impact on her students and community alike.

Cris is a dedicated dental professional with a career spanning 34 years, initially as a dental hygienist and later as an educator. For the past 14 years, Cris has brought her dental hygiene knowledge and passion to Lane Community College. Cris attended the University of Oregon and honed her skills through Lane Community College’s Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Programs before furthering her education at the Oregon Institute of Technology, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. With a commitment to excellence in oral healthcare and education, Cris hopes to inspire future generations of dental professionals. Apart from her professional pursuits, Cris enjoys studying the Bible, fitness, and gardening.

Jill began her dental hygiene career completing a bachelor’s degree at Oregon Health Sciences University and obtained her Master of Dental Public Health from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Jill has worked as a clinician, in public health, as a researcher, and educator. Jill taught at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and has been faculty with the Lane Community College Dental Hygiene Program since 2006. Jill enjoys being part of the educational journey of future Dental Hygiene professionals. When not at work, Jill enjoys travel and time together with her family.

Sharon is a distinguished dental hygiene educator with nearly 50 years of experience shaping the future of the profession. A proud Northwest native, Sharon began her teaching career in 1976 at Lane Community College, where her dedication to public health and student mentorship has inspired generations of dental hygienists. Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University and further pursued her passion for public health and advancing oral health in underserved communities by completing a Master of Science degree at Western Kentucky University. Her teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in fostering the public health hygienist within each of her students. Sharon is committed to empowering them to make a meaningful impact through education, prevention, and advocacy, equipping them to effectively address the diverse needs of their communities. Sharon’s enduring passion for education and public health continues to leave a lasting legacy on the dental hygiene profession. Outside of her professional life, Sharon cherishes her role as a mother to three adult children and a grandmother to three beloved grandchildren and one granddog. Her dedication to family mirrors her commitment to her students and the dental hygiene profession, making her an influential and compassionate educator in the profession.

Linda Trickey

Linda graduated from the LCC Dental Hygiene Program in 1974 and transitioned into General Practice before finding her passion in Periodontics. With a BSDH degree in hand, she became an educator at Lane, where she has guided numerous students to become proficient RDH graduates. When not in the classroom, Linda enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and traveling. Grateful for the blessings in her life, Linda approaches each day with gratitude and enthusiasm.

Tammy has a long-standing career in dentistry since 1982 as a dental assistant, and later in 1993 as a dental hygienist.  She has practiced dental hygiene in the same dental practice for over 30 years and has been part of the dental hygiene faculty team at Lane Community College since 1994.  Areas of special interest are periodontology and clinical dental hygiene, particularly nonsurgical periodontal therapy.  Tammy’s educational background includes: an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Assisting 1982 from Oregon Institute of Technology, an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dental Hygiene 1993 from Lane Community College, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene 2001 from Oregon Institute of Technology.  She is committed to research and providing the most current evidence-based information, while encouraging students to be active learners by doing research to learn about dental hygiene and the art, science, and profession of dentistry.  She loves that teaching provides her with a continuous opportunity for learning and growth.  A favorite quote is “To teach is to learn twice.”  She is a coach and a cheerleader, as well as a great talent agent and mentor beyond the students’ time at Lane Community College!

Tamra “Tammy” Johns, RDH, BSDH, EP is an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist dedicated to improving access and delivery of high-quality oral healthcare. With over two decades of experience in various roles within the dental field, including dental assistant, office manager, clinical hygienist, educator, and business owner, Tammy brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her profession. In 2012, she founded Absolute Dental Hygiene, LLC, offering preventive, therapeutic, and palliative care, as well as education and referrals within her community. Committed to excellence, Tammy emphasizes evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote both oral and systemic health. She actively contributes to educational advancements and fosters partnerships with like-minded professionals to advance patient care. Beyond her professional pursuits, Tammy has raised three sons and an 18-year-old Labrador! She enjoys activities like running, golfing, writing and soaking up the sun.

Hailey has been practicing dental hygiene at an office in Sisters, Oregon since October of 2021 and has been teaching part-time at Lane Community College since September 2023. Hailey earned her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021. Hailey enjoys associating with students and positively impacting the future generations of dental hygienists. Hailey values professional growth and lifelong learning and is currently pursuing a master’s in education. Outside of the dental hygiene world, Hailey enjoys rock climbing, traveling, painting, and gardening.

Imy is a dedicated dental hygienist and educator and a graduate of Colorado State University and the Lane Community College Dental Hygiene Program. With 17 years of experience, Imy is a restorative dental hygienist who enjoys helping patients achieve optimal oral health and regain their confident smiles. Beyond her professional life, Imy enjoys gardening, traveling, crocheting, quilting, and perfecting her golf game. She has been happily married for 40 years and is the proud parent of two adult children.

Emily is a dental hygienist and educator, born and raised in Oregon. She graduated from Lane’s dental hygiene program in 2010 and completed her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2012. She loves studying languages and pursued a degree in Spanish at the University of Oregon, which has served her well in her treatment of diverse patient demographics. Aside from her dental hygiene work, she enjoys caring for her family's menagerie of farm animals. She is also an avid beekeeper, gardener, and pianist. Emily is passionate about educating future dental professionals and thoroughly enjoys collaboration with peers and advocates for oral health.

Heather's dental career began in 2009 on the island of Maui, where she started as a dental assistant to an Orthodontist. Born and raised in Eugene, she moved back home to complete the dental hygiene program at Lane, where she graduated in 2016, with her associate degree in dental hygiene. After graduating, Heather continued her studies to obtain her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at the Oregon Institute of Technology in 2020. Since graduating, she has worked in a couple of private practices and most recently at Chambers Bridge Dental in Cottage Grove. Fall and summer are Heather's favorite times of the year, where she enjoys camping and outdoor activities with her 12-year-old daughter and three crazy dogs, and of course, attending Oregon football.
