What you’ll earn

In both the classroom and laboratory, you'll learn the basics of general and organic chemistry and the societal impact of chemistry. Whether you're planning to transfer to a four-year degree or gaining knowledge for a medical or science degree, our small classes and passionate instructors will make chemistry accessible.

Transfer Interest Area

While working on your transfer degree, you'll learn the foundations of chemistry and its societal importance, including topics like environmental concerns of air and water quality and the biochemistry of food, drugs, and pharmaceuticals.

Whether you’re looking to start your career as soon as you’ve earned your bachelor's degree or you’re planning to continue on to graduate school, your two years at Lane will make sure you’re prepared for whatever comes next. Careers in healthcare, scientific research, technology, education, medicine, or even food and flavor chemistry are all possibilities for chemistry students. As a student, you'll work with your advisor to develop a plan to meet your goals.
