Transfer Pathways
Lane is the smart place to start your educational journey. Save time and money by taking your pre-requisite courses here first, and say goodbye to 400 person lecture classes. If your goal is to transfer to a four-year institution, you’ll want to pursue one of our associate transfer degree options that suits your educational and career goals the most. Meet early with your academic advisor to discuss your goals and create an academic plan to stay on track. Learn about common transfer destinations.
Core Transfer Map (CTM)
The Core Transfer Map is a group of eight classes that add up to 30 credits. When the full set of eight courses are successfully completed at an Oregon community college, they are guaranteed to transfer as a block to any Oregon public university, and they will count toward that university's core bachelor's degree requirements. You should still consult with an academic advisor about transferring classes for a specific major.
Oregon Transfer Module (OTM)
The OTM is a state-approved Transcription Notation, not a degree or certificate. It includes 45 credits of course work, equivalent to 3 academic quarters. This transcript notation ensures the 45 credits of specific general education requirements and electives will be accepted at any state institution and ensures sophomore status for registration purposes.
Associate Degrees
In addition to transfer associate's degrees, we also offers associate degrees in a variety of career and technical programs, like Nursing, Welding, and Graphic Design. These degrees include Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, and Associate of General Studies options. After you’ve applied and determined what you’re interested in studying, you’ll work with your advisor to craft the right degree plan for you. Learn more about our degrees and our programs.
