Coaching
Individuals who sign up for eligible educational and training programs (such as PASS Lane, Career Pathways, RISE) may receive a dedicated Career Pathways/ Opening Doors Coach to support them through completion of their program. Career Pathways coaching emphasizes on building personal relationships with students and empowering participants by removing barriers to employment and training opportunities. Coaching services include:
- Recognition of prior skills, international work & education experience
- Academic progress monitoring (we help you stay on your plan)
- Internal college resource navigation
- External community resource navigation
- Financial, time management, and personal support plans
- Collaboration with community agencies
CARE and Opening Doors Consulting Services:
CARE at Lane assists in navigating on-campus and community resources. We can also help connect you to services catering to the unique needs of immigrants such as:
- Immigrant-focused and multilingual:
- community resources
- multilingual employment services
- education and training opportunities
- scholarships and educational funding
- English Language Programs in Lane County
- Guidance on international transcript articulation and credential recognition
- Guidance on documentation of international work experience
