Prepare for your journeyman card
Our program combines both real world, on-the-job training with classroom learning. The apprenticeship lasts four years. You'll do 144 hours of related training per year and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. Afterward, you can take your licensing exam through the Oregon Building Codes Division. With a few more courses, you can get your associate degree in construction technology.

AFTER LANE
After your apprenticeship, you can apply for a journeyman electrician license. The current minimum Journey-level wage for a Limited Energy Electrician is $34.26 per hour.

Job Description
3-Year Program – License A: Install, maintain, replace and repair electrical systems and equipment of under 100 volt-amperes, including protective signaling systems (fire alarm, nurse call, security), communications systems (data telecommunications, intercom and paging) and specialized control systems (HVAC, medical, boiler, clock and instrumentation).
2-Year Program – License B: Install, maintain, replace and repair electrical systems and equipment of under 100 volt-amperes, including communications systems (data telecommunications, intercom and paging) and specialized control systems (HVAC, medical, boiler, clock and instrumentation).
