EUGENE, Ore.–The Student Production Association of Lane Community College will hold auditions for “The Wolves” by Sarah DeLappe on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25 and 26, in the Blue Door Theatre, Bldg. 6, Lane main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene. Actors can arrive any time between 7 and 8 p.m.
Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.
“The Wolves” is one of the most frequently produced plays across the country this season. Andy Hock from A3 will direct this innovative script in the intimate Blue Door Theatre.
Auditions are open to students and community members. Actors with soccer experience are especially encouraged to attend. No prepared monologue necessary, actors will read from the script.
About 10 roles are available for female-identified actors of every race and type. No experience necessary. Rehearsals will be based on actor availability. Performances are April 25 to May 5.
