What you’ll earn

Turn your passion for cooking into a career, with our one-year Culinary Arts certificate. You'll get the education, skills, and experience you need to advance in the culinary world, with customized paths in restaurants, management, nutrition, or teaching.

1 year certificate

Learn classical culinary principles and techniques to build your knowledge and skills through courses that emphasize learning by doing. Our program is designed for individuals looking for a career in cooking and/or food service, as well as those just wanting to learn more about food and improve their skills.

AFTER LANE

Completing your Culinary Arts Certificate will show your future employers that you're serious about a career in food, and that you have the experience necessary to be an asset in a kitchen. Many of our graduates have gone on to work in or start their own restaurants and food carts around Lane County.

Specialize your skills and hone your interests through stackable certificates! These certificates can be earned while pursuing your degree, or all on their own. Contact your advisor or the office of admissions to learn more.

Commercial Cooking

Career Pathways Certificate

Want to gain entry into the food service industry as a cook? This affordable, 22-credit certificate will help you give you the practical skills and safe food preparation technical knowledge to enable successful entry and potentially accelerated upward mobility in a wide range of kitchens and food production facilities.
