2024-25 Weeks of Welcome Events
Welcome Week
Mon. and Tues., Sep. 30 and Oct. 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Outside the Center Building, see map, and on the first floor of the Downtown Center)
To welcome you to the first day of fall term, we'll be offering free coffee, tea, and snacks at our Welcome tents on main campus and downtown. We'll also have a ton of fun events including pancakes, a petting zoo, and window painting. Check out the event calendar below to learn more.
Online Scavenger Hunt
Sat. 9/29 to Sun. 10/5. Not coming to campus? You can still take part in the welcome festivities! Log into Moodle to find an online scavenger hunt. Enter to win a prize and learn all about Lane's free resources for online students.
Window Painting Competition
Mon. 9/30 to Fri. 10/4, by the doors of the library on the second floor (ask Center 201 to assist you!). Get ready to unleash your creativity at Lane Community College's Window Painting Competition! Join the fun and paint your masterpiece on one of the first floor Center windows. All paintings must be completed by noon on Friday, October 4. For more details, visit our website.
Pancakes with the Presidents
Tues., 10/1, from 9 - 11 a.m., Center Building. Free pancakes served by Dr. Stephanie Bulger, the president of the Lane Community College, and Sophie Gibson, the president of the on the Student Government Association.
Petting Zoo
Thu. 10/3, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bristow Sqaure. Experience the joy of our Petting Zoo, where you can cuddle and interact with adorable animals. Channel your creativity and compassion by participating in our Blanket Making activity to donate to local animal shelters—make a difference in a furry friend's life!
Resource Fair
Tues. Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Center Building 2nd Floor, see map)
Lane has so many free resources for you! Learn more, get swag, and enter a raffle for fun prizes. Come on by!
Student Job Fair

Looking for on-campus employment? Join us for the Fall 2024 Student Job Fair! This event is a great opportunity to explore work-study and other job opportunities and connect with departments.
How to Start a Club
Wed. Oct. 16, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Center Building 2nd Floor, see map)
Sponsored by Student Life and Leadership in collaboration with the Council of Clubs, this event will show you how to get engaged on campus by starting your own club! Learn the steps to connect with peers and find others who share your interests. Come join us and kick-start your campus involvement!
