EUGENE, Ore.–Lane Community College Athletic Director Greg Sheley has announced the hiring of Max Sampson as the Titans’ new head men’s soccer coach. Sampson takes over for Conner Cappelletti who recently resigned to take a coaching position in Ohio.
“We are excited to have Max be a part of Lane Athletics,” said Sheley. “He brings NWAC knowledge and experience to our men’s soccer program. We are confident Max will do an outstanding job for us.”
“I want to thank Athletic Director Greg Sheley and the search committee for the opportunity to take charge of the Lane Community College men’s soccer program. My leadership will reflect my passion and desire to help young people improve on the pitch and in the classroom,” said Sampson.
Most recently, Max was the head men’s and women’s soccer coach at Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Oregon, where he has held both coaching positions since 2017.
Max is a graduate of Junction City High School and has a B.S. in kinesiology from Oregon State University.
