EUGENE, Ore.– Lane Community College has been awarded a $78,615 Campus Veteran Resource Center from the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs. It is the second highest award among the 14 public universities and community colleges to receive the grant. The grants will help campus veterans centers expand and improve services. The centers help student veterans transition from military service to college life, complete their educational goals, and successfully transition back into the civilian workforce and community.
LCC currently serves 315 student veterans. Of those, 183 are first-generation students and 110 receive Pell grants.
