LCC positioning for coronavirus impact

EUGENE, Ore. – Lane Community College remains open. There are no known cases of COVID-19 at LCC at this time. The college’s Coronavirus Response Team has announced plans for next week’s finals and the start of spring term on March 30.

Winter Finals

Winter term finals will be given by alternate methods such as online. Faculty will advise students about final exam changes and how to complete courses with hands-on requirements  such as in some career-technical programs. In these instances, social distancing and other protocols recommended by health authorities will be used.

Spring Term

The first three weeks of spring term will be delivered by remote methods and will begin as scheduled on March 30. Instructors will advise students how to access course materials without attending classes in person.

Campus Events

Effective Friday March 13, and through at least Sunday April 19, nonessential events on college property have been cancelled. This applies to events and all college and community-related performances, activities, and athletic events.

Travel Restrictions

Nonessential travel for college business, including within Oregon, is suspended through at least April 19.
