EUGENE, Ore.—Lane Community College’s Hands-on Career Day will be held Friday, April 26, on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene.
This annual event for local high school juniors and seniors is expected to attract 350 students, who will experience hands-on workshops in 23 career and technical programs ranging from Automotive Technology to a brand new session in forensic chemistry. Other new workshops for this year’s event include Flight Technology’s drone program and Health Information management.
Career Day runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting with a welcome and opening remarks at the Center for Meeting and Learning in Building 19, room 104. Workshop sessions will take place in classrooms and labs around campus, starting at 9:30 a.m.
