EUGENE, Ore. – Lane Community College will host the First Friday Communities of Color Network gathering on Friday, April 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Campbell Senior Center, 155 High Street, Eugene.
The event provides an opportunity to meet and network with people of color and allies in the local area and includes appetizers and other refreshments.
“Lane Community College is once again is pleased to host April’s First Friday Communities of Color event,” said Greg Evans, Lane’s associate vice president for equity and inclusion. “This is a community gathering, welcoming and celebrating our friends and colleagues of color in the Lane County area.”
Local community members of color started the network to create a space that fostered friendships and networks among people of color in the community. Each month, a different partner agency of the Equity and Community Consortium sponsors First Friday.
