EUGENE, Ore.–The Lane Community College Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Monday, October 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the boardroom, building 3, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene.
The meeting is to interview finalists Lisa Fragala and Joy O'Renick for appointment to the At Large Position 7 vacancy. Finalist Laura Illig will be interviewed at the end of the board’s regular monthly meeting on October 11.
The appointee will serve through June 30, 2019. The seat will be up for election in May 2019 for the four-year term beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2023.
The At Large Position 7 seat was declared vacant in late July when former board member Tony McCown stepped down to apply for employment at the college. Applications closed Aug. 31.
