EUGENE, Ore.— The Lane Community College Board of Education will meet with applicants for appointment to the At Large Position 7 seat on the board, on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 1-5 p.m. in the Boardroom, Bldg. 3, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene. The board hopes to select finalists and conduct final interviews sometime in October.
The appointee will serve through June 30, 2019. The seat will be up for election in May 2019 for the four-year term beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2023.
The applicants are: Alan Baas, Mark Boren, Gregory Fitz-Gerald, Lisa Fragala, Laura Illig, Chelsea Jennings, Brandon Jordan, Kenneth Lehrman, Joel Martin, Kevin Matthews, Timothy Morris, Joy O'Renick, Mark Thornton, Rudy Venturi, and Anselmo Villanueva.
The At Large Position 7 seat was declared vacant in late July when former board member Tony McCown stepped down to apply for employment at the college. Applications closed Aug. 31.
