EUGENE, Ore.–In a special telephone meeting held at 12:30 p.m. today, the Lane Community College Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution supporting Senate Bill 1563, currently under consideration by the Oregon Legislature.
The resolution states that the board “upholds equity and supports legislation that mirrors this value” and that if SB 1563 fails, “impacted Oregon students will face financial barriers that may prevent them from accessing Oregon colleges and universities.”
