EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Budget Committee will hold its first meeting of the year on Thursday, May 3, at 5:30 p.m., in the Boardroom, Building 3, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene.
The meeting will include an orientation for committee members, a walk-through of the proposed 2018-19 budget, and information requests.
Additional meetings will be held on Thursday, May 10, at 5 p.m.; Thursday, May 17 at 5:30 p.m.; and if needed, Thursday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m.; for continued review and public comment. The annual budget hearing and adoption will be held at the June 14 Board of Education meeting.
The Budget Committee consists of the seven members of the Board of Education plus seven citizens at large. Each board member appoints one citizen to the committee for a three-year term. Terms are staggered so that about one-third of the appointed terms end each year.
