EUGENE, Ore.—The Lane Community College Titans completed an outstanding fall sports season in 2019. All teams qualified for post-season play in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Southern Region.

The men’s soccer team qualified for the playoffs by placing second in Southern Region play. This was their first qualification for post-season play since the program was reinstated to the Lane athletics program in fall 2016. The women’s soccer team placed third in Southern Region play.

Both men's and women's cross country teams won the Southern Region championship and went on to compete in the NWAC championship tournament. The women’s team brought home the championship trophy and the men placed second.

The women's volleyball team finished as co-champions for the Southern Region brought home the third place trophy from the NWAC championship tournament. This was a very impressive finish given that the volleyball program is in its third year of reinstatement and also had a first year coach.

Kudos are due to all Lane Titan student-athletes and their coaches.

NWAC is the parent athletics organization for 36 community colleges located Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and British Columbia. It is the largest community college conference in the United States. The Southern Region includes Lane, Chemeketa, Clackamas, Linn-Benton, Mt. Hood, Portland, Rogue, Southwestern, and Umpqua community colleges.
