About Lane’s presidential search —
The search for a new president at Lane Community College began in June 2021 when President Margaret Hamilton announced that she would retire in June 2022 following a career of more than 30 years in higher education and five as Lane’s chief executive officer. A 15-member search committee was formed to gather information, develop a profile, review the applicant pool, help arrange events, and otherwise assist the board. Members include representatives of the board, board appointees, faculty and classified staff unions, student body, foundation, community, K-12, university, chambers of commerce, and local government.
