EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Community College is thrilled to announce that its Titans Baseball Team has advanced to the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Championship. The Titans secured this spot after a resounding 10-3 victory against Everett in the final of the Southern Super Regional on Saturday, hosted at Linn-Benton Community College.
In a three-match series over two days, the Titans showed true grit and tenacity, winning two out of three games to qualify for the championship. Despite a temporary setback in Game 2, where Everett won 6-1, the Titans stormed back in the final game. They took an early lead, scoring runs consistently over the first three innings, and never relented, demonstrating their spirit and dedication.
Now, the Titans will join seven other elite teams from across the Northwest for the double elimination tournament, all vying for the coveted title of this year’s NWAC Champion.
The first match for the Titans in the championship tournament will be against Spokane on Thursday, May 25th, at 4:35 PM. The venue for all games is the David Story Field at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA.
Tickets for the games can be purchased via the NWAC’s website. The games will also be broadcast live on the NWAC Sports Network, allowing fans to experience the excitement from wherever they are.
Lane Community College is immensely proud of the Titans Baseball Team's achievements and urges the community to support them as they strive to bring the NWAC Championship home. Your encouragement is vital to their success. #GoTitans
