EUGENE, Ore. — Lane Community College (LCC) is pleased to announce that nominations for the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award will be accepted through April 30th. The annual award honors exceptional Lane alumni who have made a significant impact in their field or community and demonstrated a commitment to the college's mission of providing quality, comprehensive, accessible, inclusive, learning-centered educational opportunities.

Nominations are open to any Lane Community College alumnus who has enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree program at the college or participated in a non-credit offering. Nominees should embody the college's values, have excelled in their professional field, and made a significant contribution to their community. The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have shown exemplary commitment to lifelong learning, personal development, and enrichment, as well as outstanding leadership, mentorship, or service in their professional or community context.

Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members are encouraged to submit nominations for deserving individuals. Self-nominations will not be accepted. To nominate an alumnus, please complete the official nomination form, which can be found on the LCC website at www.lanecc.edu/alumni. Nomination forms must be submitted by the April 30th deadline, along with any supporting documentation highlighting the nominee's accomplishments and contributions.

A selection committee will review nominations and make a recommendation to LCC President Stephanie Bulger based on a comprehensive evaluation of the nominees' impact, leadership, and commitment to the college's mission. The Lane Community College Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented at the college's annual commencement ceremony, with the recipient(s) also being featured on the college's website, social media channels, and in other materials.
