2. Before you start your scholarship application.
Apply for admissions Getting Started at Lane. If you have never attended Lane before, it has been more than a year since you last attended, or you were a College Now/RTEC student, you must complete an admission or readmission application. You will need to do this to receive your L-Number and student Gmail account.
Lane Student ID # (also called L-Number). Required for all applicants. This may take several business days after you complete your online admission.
Lane student Gmail account. Required for all applicants. Shed: Student HelpDesk - Article on how to claim and activate your student email account. You cannot submit a scholarship application without a Lane student email ending in @my.lanecc.edu.
Unofficial copies of your transcripts saved as PDF files. Required for all applicants. Failure to provide transcripts will disqualify your application. Uploading transcripts in file formats other than PDF will also disqualify your application. Transcript requests, including the GED, may take time to process, allow sufficient time for this. MyGradPlan does not qualify as a Lane transcript. Paper copies of documents will not be accepted. Read the Scholarship Application Instructions for detailed information.
Transcript file names should be saved without any special characters or spaces. We recommend using this format to avoid problems with uploading your PDF file. Examples: JohnsonMHighSchoolTranscript JohnsonMLCCtranscript

Majors on this list will be used to match you with scholarships you might qualify for. This list has been created specifically for the LCC Foundation Scholarship Application and will differ from the list of majors in the LCC catalog listings.
Essay questions for the 2025-2026 scholarship application
Apply for FAFSA (required for some, but not all scholarships).
Students may apply for nursing, other health care professions, culinary and hospitality scholarships if they plan to be in the program in the fall. We will verify acceptance into the program when we are awarding scholarships.
3. Scholarship applications for the 2025/2026 academic year will open in early January. The application deadline will be March 4, 2025.
When applications open in January, a link to the online scholarship application will be added to this section.
Applicants must use their Lane issued Gmail ending in @my.lanecc.edu to access the LCC Foundation scholarship application. We encourage all applicants to use the option to “Sign up with Google” to create an account. Once you have an account, use “Sign in with Google.” If you have multiple Gmail accounts, you must select your @my.lanecc.edu.
Your Lane Gmail uses the same password as ExpressLane. Changing your Lane student email password in Google without changing your ExpressLane password, is not recommended.

If you already created an account using the Blackbaud sign up, you can still select the “Sign in with Google” to access your application.
Technical Questions?
Send an email that includes Full Name and Application Question in the subject line to scholarships@laneccfoundation.org. Provide your L# in your email.
Someone will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If you wait until the scholarship deadline, it is very unlikely you will get a response in time to complete your application. We cannot make any exceptions for students who do not have a complete application submitted by the scholarship deadline.

LCC Foundation Scholarship Exception Request
Foundation Scholarships are disbursed beginning the second Thursday of each term as long as students continue to meet the scholarship eligibility requirements and maintain satisfactory academic progress. If you are an LCC Foundation scholarship recipient, complete the LCC Foundation Exception Request form if you have special circumstances that may impact your eligibility.
NOTE: the Scholarship Exception Request is only for students who have already been offered an LCC Foundation Scholarship.

Updating your contact information in ExpressLane/myLane does not update our LCC Foundation records.
