EUGENE, Ore. — For the second summer in a row, Lane Community College is offering eligible high school students and recent graduates one tuition-free course; students only have to pay for fees and textbooks. That’s $504 in tuition savings for a four-credit course.

High school students and graduates in the Class of 2021 and Class of 2022 are eligible. “It adds up to a 75 percent discount on tuition and fees,” said Brenda Williams, coordinator of Lane’s Early College program.

Courses will be held remotely between June 21 and September 12. Students will receive free access to Moodle, Zoom, academic advising, and tutoring to take their course.

The deadline to apply to Lane, complete summer registration, and submit the required tuition-free request form is Friday August 22nd at 11:59pm, including summer courses that start in July or August.

Brenda Williams, the recent 2020 Oregon Academic Advisor of the year said, “This is an amazing opportunity for seniors and recent high school graduates to experience a college course at a discounted rate and without other course distractions.”
