EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Board of Education will hold a special meeting and work session on Wednesday, Nov. 3, beginning at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The meeting will be accessible through Lane’s event streaming page.
Shortly after 6 p.m., a public hearing will be held to receive public comment on a staff recommendation that the college use the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) design/delivery method with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the renovation of Building 12. The use of this method requires that a specific exemption from the standard competitive bid process for a general contractor be granted by the Board.
Public comment regarding the CM/GC method for Building 12 may be made at the hearing via Zoom webinar by registering in advance. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar. Following the public hearing, the Board may take action. The Board will then adjourn the special meeting and move to its work session agenda.
Work session topics include a presentation of the Facilities Master Plan, deferred maintenance, updates from the Bond Oversight Committee and review of board policies.
More information and meeting materials are online.
