EUGENE, Ore.—Four seats on the Lane Community College Board of Education are up for election in the May 18, 2021 Lane County Special Election. The deadline for candidates to file is March 18.
The open seats are:
- Zone 1, primarily western Lane County including west Eugene and Florence, vacated last month when Melanie Muenzer of Eugene stepped down to accept a position with the Biden Administration in the U.S. Department of Education;
- Zone 3, primarily the Springfield and Marcola areas, currently held by Mike Eyster of Springfield;
- Zone 4; primarily eastern Lane County, currently held by Matt Keating of Eugene; and
- Zone 5, primarily downtown and south Eugene, currently held by Chelsea Jennings of Eugene.
