PASCO, Wash. — Lane Community College (LCC) is thrilled to announce that its Women's Basketball team has won the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Championship game, defeating Green River College with a resounding 72-52 victory.
The Titans displayed exceptional teamwork, dedication, and skill to secure their sixth NWAC Championship title. The game, held at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington, saw the Titans take control early in the first quarter and never look back.
The LCC Women's Basketball team has been a force to be reckoned with this season, boasting an impressive 32-1 record and consistently outperforming their competition. Their success can be attributed to the team's relentless work ethic, cohesive team dynamic, and a strong coaching staff led by Head Coach Greg Sheley.
Lead scorers for the Titans were Sierra Scheppele (18 points), Bella Hamel (17), and Toni Coleman (14). Hamel was also recognized as Most Valuable Player.
Coach Sheley expressed his pride in the team's achievement, saying, "Our players have worked incredibly hard this season, and their dedication and commitment to excellence have truly paid off.
