How Long Can Library Materials Be Checked Out?
- Books: Four weeks
- Reference books: Library use only
- Magazines and newspapers: Library use only
- Audiocassette recorders: One day
- Headphones: Due at end of day
- Scientific calculators: Due at end of day
- Videotapes: One week (exceptions: videos on reserve, teleconferences, and expensive videos)
Borrowing from Other Libraries
Through Summit Borrowing, credit students and current or retired faculty and staff members have access to over 27 million books, sound recordings, films, video tapes, and more. Summit is the online library catalog for the Orbis Cascade Alliance, a library consortium composed of over 30 public and private colleges, community colleges, and universities in the Pacific Northwest.

Credit students currently registered at Lane and employees with a current validated photo ID card may borrow materials from Northwest Christian College. Check with Northwest Christian College Library for details.
