Steps to College Now Credit

Step 1:   Find out which College Now courses are offered at your high school.  See College Now courses for a list.

Step 2:   Check with your high school counselor for course pre-requisites and get registered for your high school course offering dual credits.

Step 3:   Follow your instructor’s instructions about obtaining an LCC “L” number and register online for college credit.

Step 4:   Earn the grade (an A, B or sometimes C) required to receive college credit.  You can verify the minimum requirement by looking up your courses on the College Now list.

LCC Grade Policies

  • If you do not earn the required grade to receive college credit, the class will go on your Lane transcript as an Audit, appearing as an “EN” where the grade would be.  This means that you took the class but did not receive a grade.  It will not affect your college GPA (but the credits stand on your high school transcript as per your high school’s policies).
  • Grades are not available for change after submitted by the course instructor.
  • Students who have past due LCC accounts from pervious terms will be registered only after their student account has been paid in full.
