WHAT ARE INDIVIDUAL HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS?
From time to time, high schools have developed or requested special programs coordinating with Lane Community College to meet special needs and interests of their students. Each program is unique.
COTTAGE GROVE HIGH SCHOOL - EMT 151/152
- Offered on the Cottage Grove campus during "O" and 1st period
- Other students can apply by contacting and working through their home high school counselor for referral and available funds
- Is offered under the RTEC program
- Students earn 10 credits per year
- On a contract basis. School district pays a flat rate for instructor
- Out of district students at $1000 per student plus books.
THURSTON HIGH SCHOOL - TRADE SKILLS FUNDAMENTALS/FALL 2008
- Offered at the Thurston High School campus scheduled during the school day
- Only open to Thurston students
- Is offered under the RTEC program
- On a contract basis. School district pays a flat rate for instructor
LCC MAIN CAMPUS - CHICANO/LATINO LEADERSHIP PROGRAM/FALL 2008
- All courses held on the main LCC campus from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., M-Th
- 4J/Springfield School Districts have sponsored/reserved slots
- Students are pre-identified by their school district
- Classes are held three consecutive terms for 4 credits per term + one additional class
- In Fall 2008, this course will be coupled with a required 3 credit Effective Learning course
- Students regular tuition and fees are paid by district funds
WILLAMETTE HIGH SCHOOL - CHICANO/LATINO LEADERSHIP PROGRAM/FALL 2008
- Offered at the LCC campus in an all day format
- Will be held on days students are not in school (i.e. teacher grading days) up to 20 hours of instruction per term
- Open to Willamette students who are identified by their high school
- Classes are held three consecutive terms for 2 credits per term
- Students regular tuition and fees are paid by district funds
ONLINE - COLLEGE SUCCESS: HIGH SCHOOL TRANSITIONS/FALL 2008 - CG100
- Online 1 credit course including 1 hour of online work supported by outside homework assignments
- Pilot course offered fall 2008 free of charge
- Open to 20 students on a first come/first serve basis
- Designed for prospective and currently enrolled RTEC/EOP high school students taking courses at LCC
- To be offered again Spring 2009 for students getting ready to enroll for the following year

HOW DO I APPLY?
- See your high school guidance counselor for referral information
- Have your counselor complete the High School Partnership Referral Form * and High School Partnership Billing Form *
- Apply for admission and choose the "College Credit Application" application type
- Take the LCC placement test (given at some high schools and on the LCC campus) and meet minimum requirements
- Send form to Pam McClelland in the High School Connections Office
