Chef KimmelJoin us in transforming lives through learning by supporting the Harvest Dinner and assist our students in achieving dreams through education! 

The 7th Annual Harvest Dinner and benefit auction will be October 28, 2009 at Lane Community College’s Center for Meeting and Learning.

Silent auction, wine and hors d'oeuvres start at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and live auction start at 7:00 p.m. The event is produced by the Foundation and Lane’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program.

This year the Guest Chef is Stephanie Pearl Kimmel, executive chef-owner of Marché Restaurant. Ms. Kimmel will work with more than 100 of Lane’s talented Culinary Arts and Hospitality students to prepare what has become known as the premier event dinner in our community!

In addition to caring for her own four children while her husband was deployed in Afghanistan, April also was a foster parent for her niece and nephew.  Now she is following her dream of becoming a Law Enforcement Helicopter Pilot.  When April completes her program at Lane, she will continue her studies at Oregon State University and pursue a dual degree in Aviation Leadership and Adult Education. read more
