Financial Assistance

Many credit students at Lane receive financial assistance through a variety of sources. It is possible through any combination of these resources to pay for direct school costs as well as some of your living expenses. However, it is always your responsibility to know how you will pay for college before attending classes. These resources can take a few months to finalize, so plan ahead before you attend. The links below will direct you to more information regarding these funding sources.

Federal Financial Aid: Grants, such as the Pell Grant, and student loans.  After applying for financial aid, please refer often to your award progress by clicking on "Financial Aid" in your ExpressLane account. Help is available at Enrollment and Student Financial Services. Financial Aid Students - Verify address to ensure financial aid refund

Career and Employment Services Center is located within the Counseling Office. The staff there can help you search and apply for scholarships or privately offered grants.

Community Resources: A list of financial and other resources in the local region, including rent assistance, food support, medical, crisis intervention, and legal assistance.

Workforce Development Program: Applicants must be from the traded sector (a company or a group of companies that provide goods and/or services to customers outside of the state) or the health care industry.

Veteran's Services: Lane Community College is a qualified training institution for students eligible for Veterans' Administration education benefits.

Vocational Rehabilitation: is for workers who have been injured on the job, who can no longer do their old job, and who need training for a new career in order to make a comparable wage. In most cases training is paid for by workers' compensation insurance.
