Purpose

The college logo is the official mark of the college. This procedure describes for staff the requirements of its use.

Narrative

The college logo is the official mark of the college. As the official symbol of the college, the logo needs to be used in a consistent manner and should not be altered in any way. The official colors for the two-color logo are blue PMS 287 and gold PMS 130. When printing the logo in one color, use blue if available. An encroachment zone requires that no item can be closer to the logo than the height of the letter "C" in the logo. The logo shown below has sufficient space above and below it to satisfy the zone requirement.

Lane Community College Logo

The logo is used in a broad range of applications. It is required on most printed communication intended to go off campus. To ensure quality, the logo should be obtained in electronic form from Marketing and Public Relations or Printing/Graphics and not copied from existing uses.

The college logo is the only logo that can be used to represent college departments and programs, unless an exception has been made by Marketing and Public Relations. The logo may not be used by any individuals, entities, or other organizations without the permission of the college. Lane Community College has all right, title, and interest in the logo. Lane Community College and the Lane Community College logo are trademarks filed with the State of Oregon.

For more information about using the Lane logo, see the Logo & Graphic Standards Guide in the Marketing and Public Relations pages or contact Marketing & Publications.
